Hackers

Directed by Iain Softley and written by Rafael Moreu, Hackers (1995) is a stylish techno-thriller that follows Dade Murphy (Jonny Lee Miller), a young computer prodigy who was once banned from using computers after crashing the New York Stock Exchange. Years later, Dade joins a group of elite teenage hackers in New York City, including the talented and competitive Kate Libby (Angelina Jolie).

When the group accidentally discovers a high-stakes corporate extortion plot involving a malicious computer virus, they are framed by a sinister security expert known as "The Plague." To clear their names and prevent a global environmental disaster, the hackers must combine their skills to "hack the planet" and expose the true criminals before the Secret Service catches up to them.
