Quadrophenia
Directed by Franc Roddam and inspired by The Who's 1973 rock opera of the same name, Quadrophenia (1979) is the definitive cinematic portrait of the British Mod subculture. Set in 1964, the film stars Phil Daniels as Jimmy Cooper, a young, pill-popping Londoner who finds identity and belonging within the Mod movement—obsessing over tailored suits, Italian scooters, and R&B music.
