Baby Driver

Written and directed by Edgar Wright, Baby Driver (2017) is an action-packed heist thriller uniquely choreographed to its soundtrack. Ansel Elgort stars as Baby, a talented young getaway driver who relies on music to drown out the tinnitus he's suffered from since a childhood accident.

Indebted to a crime boss named Doc (Kevin Spacey), Baby hopes to leave his criminal life behind after meeting a waitress named Debora (Lily James). However, he is coerced into one last job—a post office heist that goes violently wrong, forcing him to use every bit of his driving skill to protect himself and Debora from both the police and his former crew.

Locations

The film was shot almost entirely in Atlanta, Georgia, with the city's geography and street layout playing a vital role in the meticulously timed chase sequences.

Candler Building in Atlanta

The opening bank robbery takes place at the "First Bank of Atlanta," filmed at the historic Candler Building. The getaway car was parked on Peachtree Street, and the following chase utilized the surrounding narrow alleys and turns of Downtown Atlanta. Map Location

Healey Building on Forsyth Street

The film's famous unbroken opening credits shot, where Baby walks to get coffee while listening to "Harlem Shuffle," was filmed on Forsyth Street. He exits the Healey Building (Doc’s headquarters) and walks past various storefronts where the song's lyrics appear as graffiti. Map Location

Jerry Wadley Memorial Bridge in Juliette

The dramatic final showdown and police roadblock were filmed on this bridge, located about 70 miles south of Atlanta. The area is also famous for being near the filming site of Fried Green Tomatoes. Map Location
