Gangster Squad
Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Gangster Squad (2013) is a stylish neo-noir action film inspired by the true story of the Los Angeles Police Department's secret "Gangster Squad" unit. The exterior and interior of the fictional "Slapsy Maxie’s" nightclub—Mickey Cohen’s base of operations—were filmed at The Town House (now the Zeta Chi fraternity house and apartments) near Lafayette Park.
