X-Men: Days of Future Past

Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) is the seventh X-Men film and a Terminator-style time-travel story that merges the casts of the original trilogy and the First Class reboot. In a catastrophic future, Logan/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) has his consciousness sent back to 1973 to stop Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) from assassinating weapons developer Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) — the act that triggers the Sentinel programme and the eventual devastation. The film is set primarily in Washington D.C. and Paris in 1973, and in a bleak future.

The production based itself in Montréal, Québec, at the expansive Mel's Cité du Cinema — the same facility that hosted The Aviator and Catch Me If You Can — with a small number of days filming on location in Washington D.C.
